photo: For this part of Alaska, the weather folks say it’s a new record, with the month of December bringing just shy of 80 inches of snow, most of that coming in the last few days of the year, finally letting up just in time to see the arrival of the new Wolf ‘supermoon’ of 2026 glowing from behind the dissolving remnants of what was once an incredibly powerful storm that packed quite a punch.
